As I’ve said in my previous post, TFIOS was the first book I finished reading EVER. I cried a lot, fell in love with the love for each other of Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters, and cried again. Their story is very inspiring and heart-breaking at the same time. It is not just a hype or something, maganda talaga ang story, promise! Almost everyone I know who read the book has the same reaction, “grabe”.
Bilang the book I bought is the one with the “movie poster cover” (I don’t know what that is called), I already knew that there will be an upcoming movie version of the book. I was sooo excited, and I watched it on it’s first day palang, kahit madaming nanonood. Haha.
Okay, for me it was okay. Haha. I liked the book more, and I cried a whole lot more in the book, pero don’t get me wrong, the movie was REALLY GOOD, nakakaiyak padin! They said TFIOS The Movie is one of the movies that has made justice for the book. I couldn’t agree more because it’s true. They’ve made some little adjustments to the movie, but it is still great. It is a heart-breaker, but romantic and sweet, and has some humors that makes the whole movie great. What I also loved about the movie is, super bagay si Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley as Hazel and Augustus. I can’t imagine someone else portraying their roles.
TFIOS made me feel that no matter what and how heart-breaking the situation is, with love, you can still make your own little infinities and be happy even with a short-span of time. :) Ugh, I can’t turn the things I realized into words. Haha. Basta, maganda!
I highly recommend the movie. You will surely fall in love with Hazel and Augustus’ little infinites. Okay? Okay. :)
"Some infinities are bigger than other infinities. A writer we used to like taught us that. There are days, many of them, when I resent the size of my unbound set. I want more numbers than I’m likely to get, and God, I want more numbers for Augustus Waters than he got. But Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I’m grateful." -Hazel Grace Lancaster, The Fault In Our Stars
"That’s the thing about pain, it demands to be felt." -Augustus Waters, The Fault In Our Stars

“You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and for that I am eternally grateful.” -Hazel Grace Lancaster, The Fault In Our Stars
“The world is not a wish-granting factory.” -Augustus Waters, The Fault In Our Stars
"It would be a privilege to have my heart broken by you." -Augustus Waters, The Fault In Our Stars

Since then, I always wanted to read books especially novels. So I can know what the buzz is all about with this kind of book, so I can learn different kinds of stuff about life, so I can compare the story when there’s a movie remake of a novel with the book version, or simply because I just wanna know the story of this and that. I started reading novels maaany years ago. But I wasnt able to finish any, because I get bored easily.
Then there was a time that I am in Podium because I was waiting for Benice to finish her theater workshops and I was so bored and Ive got nothing to do. So I went to a bookstore and bought The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. I read it while I was waiting for my sister, and gee, I couldn’t stop reading. It took me 3 days to finish the whole story. I cried a loooot, I fell inlove with the story of Augustus and Hazel, and how they can handle love even with their situation.
After reading TFIOS, I went to the bookstore again and bought 3 more books! Then I realized, I can finish a whole book when its big. Never pa ako nakatapos ng pocket-sized book ever. HAHA.
As of the moment, I finished reading, The Fault in our Stars by John Green, Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver, Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell, and Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover.
Oh, and fyi, I still prefer to read the normal and physical type of books, then ebooks. Iba padin yung feel kapag fini-flip mo yung page ng book eh! ;) Relate kayo? :D
So there, I brought out the bookworn-ness in me and, I looove reading.
If you wanna recommend some novels, then comment and I’ll try to read it.
